CancerCare’s Carolyn Messner is Named “Oncology Social Worker of the Year”

CancerCare’s Director of Education and Training, Carolyn Messner, DSW, has been named Oncology Social Worker of the Year by the Association of Oncology Social Work (AOSW).

Carolyn has long been recognized as an expert in the field of social work. For four decades, she has presented and published on the emotional and practical impact of cancer on patients, caregivers, and families. Along with serving as a past President of AOSW, Carolyn is a longtime instructor at Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work, and serves on numerous prestigious professional organizations.
